TNA METHODOLOGYTM TOOLS

If you are at the prototype stage or beyond, then our tools based on the Technology Niche AnalysisTM Methodology will support transitioning and positioning your technology for the market.

VISTA Methodologies

VISTA has the exclusive license in Canada for the Technology Niche Analysis (TNA) Methodology, which was developed by Dr. Phyl Speser of Foresight Science & Technology under funding from various SBIR Program funding agencies in the United States. The TNA Methodology is a science-based approach to assessing, transitioning, and positioning technology and products for commercialization and market launch. The TNA Methodology is implemented through a variety of assessment tools based on the stage of development of the technology or product.

Go/No GoTM

The Go/No Go Assessment is an early stage weeding tool designed for disclosures and patents. It is a preliminary assessment that seeks to identify significant barriers to commercialization. The Go/No Go is extremely well suited for IP audits of patent portfolios.

QuicklookTM

The Quicklook is an early stage assessment that evaluates the commercialization potential for three discrete applications of a technology. It is a commercialization feasibility study, providing the data and intelligence necessary to develop a commercialization strategy.

Technology Niche Analysis TM (TNA)

The TNA is a comprehensive assessment tool that identifies the competitive opening and value proposition for a single application of a technology and provides a commercialization strategy, including market dynamics and qualified customers.

Trailblazer TM

The Trailblazer develops the market data and value chain participation necessary for concurrent engineering-based product and/or service development. It is particularly well suited for incremental innovations.

Niche Construction Analysis TM (NCA)

The NCA identifies the potential applications and end-user needs for radical innovations for which there are no comparable products or services. The information is used to build a complete market entry strategy, including technology design improvements.

Industry Assessment TM

The Industry Assessment examines a set of up to three industrial sectors (defined using North American Industrial Classifications) in order to determine how well a technology, capability, product line, product family, etc. (i.e. goods) fits with the customer base in that sector.

Technology Valuation TM

Valuations are conducted on technologies (individual or portfolios) or businesses and from the technology owner's perspective, acquirer's perspective, or both.
